QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Therapy can be helpful for anyone looking to improve their mental health, gain clarity, or navigate life’s challenges. Whether you’re facing stress, anxiety, relationship issues, or simply want support with personal growth, therapy offers a space to explore your thoughts and feelings in a safe, confidential environment.
You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or noticing patterns in your life that are holding you back, therapy may be a good step. Many people seek therapy to better understand themselves, improve relationships, or cope with stressors before they become more serious.
Therapy offers a safe, supportive space to explore your thoughts, emotions, and life experiences—with the goal of helping you feel more balanced, empowered, and connected.

Yes, we offer both phone and secure online therapy sessions. These options are ideal for clients who prefer the convenience of therapy from home or are unable to attend in person. We strive to make therapy accessible, wherever you are.
The frequency of sessions depends on your individual needs and goals. Most clients start with weekly sessions, especially in the beginning, to build momentum. Over time, we may move to biweekly or monthly appointments based on your progress and preferences.
Standard therapy sessions are typically 45 minutes long. However, we can discuss longer sessions if needed for specific types of therapy or situations.
Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other. We'll talk about what brings you to therapy, your goals, and any concerns you may have. You don’t need to prepare anything—just come as you are. It’s a space to explore whether therapy feels like a good fit for you.
That’s completely okay. Therapy is a personal journey, and not every approach or therapist is the right match for everyone. If at any point you feel that it’s not working for you, we can discuss alternatives or help you find a better fit. Your comfort is important to us.
Absolutely. Therapy is your space, and you are in control of what we discuss. We may offer guidance or ask questions, but your goals and comfort always guide the process.
That’s completely understandable. You’re never required to talk about anything before you’re ready. Therapy moves at your pace, and trust is something we build together over time.
Therapy offers tools, insights, and support to help you better understand yourself, make meaningful changes, and cope with life’s challenges. It can provide clarity, healing, and a greater sense of control in your life. The process is tailored to your unique goals and experiences.
Sometimes we may suggest reflection exercises, journaling, or trying new strategies between sessions. These are always optional and meant to help you apply what we discuss in real life. Your progress is often supported by the work you do outside of the therapy room.
We do not accept insurance at this time. However, many clients choose to pay privately for therapy, which allows for greater flexibility, privacy, and control over your treatment. If your insurance offers out-of-network benefits, we’re happy to provide a superbill (an itemized receipt) that you can submit for possible reimbursement. We’re also available to answer any questions about this process and help you explore payment options that work for you.
Yes. Everything you share in therapy is confidential, with a few legal exceptions (such as risk of harm to self or others, or in cases of abuse). We’ll go over these limits in our first session to ensure you fully understand your rights and privacy.
Medication and therapy serve different purposes. Medication can help manage symptoms, while therapy helps you understand and work through the underlying causes. In many cases, a combination of both is most effective—but therapy can be helpful with or without medication.
Struggling? Sure. Stuck there? Not with us.
